About Glastonbury Town

Little Hive is set in the heart of Glastonbury, a unique Somerset town shaped by history, myth, and a strong sense of place.

Glastonbury is a small town steeped in myth and mysticism, where ancient legends of King Arthur, ley lines, and the Holy Grail mingle with everyday life. Framed by the Tor rising above the Somerset Levels, it has a distinctive spiritual, bohemian feel, blending deep history with a vibrant alternative culture.

In Glastonbury, you’ll see all sorts; it’s a melting pot of people: Viking warriors, medicine women, shamans, healers, grid workers, pilgrims, poets, artists, musicians, crystal angels, fairies, tree people, plant people, farmers, off-gridders, young ravers, old ravers, rich hippies, poor hippies, van dwellers, horse-drawn travellers, gentrified old gentlemen, wellness “gurus”, barefoot Jesuses, 25 incarnations of Isis, and everything in between!

A crowd gathers in a town square, surrounded by historic buildings and a tall stone monument. People wear festive clothing, including hats and wreaths. The sky is overcast, creating a lively yet subdued atmosphere.

Though the cottage offers a sense of quiet and seclusion midweek, please remember that as summer arrives, you are in the heart of the town. Weekends can get lively, with parades, carnivals, events, and gatherings. The cottage backs onto the Mitre pub garden, and is opposite St Benedict’s Church and the Goddess Hall.

Little Hive sits right on these energy lines and was created so you can be part of it all — the sacred and the wild. There is a certain magic in being able to go out and mingle, and then return to integrate it all with a cup of tea by the fire.

When your soul is ready, Avalon calls you home. Glastonbury is the Earth’s heart chakra and a potent ley-line portal; drop judgment, surrender, and embrace service, love, and wisdom.
